Contemplating Suicide

Death
is not a panacea for Life's
bloody dirge
waiting for right time, and place
to cut the warp of Time.

who dares walk with Death
in living light,
dying breath piggy-backed on
inhalation of the
daily grind.

hear you, free ones
unaware of Death's loud Call
who
point me to my loved
ones as safe steps of ressurection
from my hellish pit

cajoling,
pleading,
ever so determined to
convince

"for their sake's"

"how many of your
friends would mourn
your unsolicit
passing"

"think of grief
laid time-filled burden on
your children
if you die"

Ah!
this out directed
pouring of advisement
quite disregarding of MY
walk with long
familiar, intimate companion

Death

ne'er a question in
recognition of
my personal
inner thoughts
my need to die
my quest for peace

for Life's final solution
hid in
Death

**
All that keeps
my soul
untying from its shackled
prison

is a fragile Hope
that maybe,

help me,
MAYBE

Walking Death
might find
me
living LIFE

Death-shadowed

but relieved.
