Ah, little one crying in the Night, unheard whimper stifled to escape the hurt that flays your heart and skin if you are heard. I wish there was a lullaby a gentle soothing murmur that would wrap around your wounded soul broken wings of fledging size defenseless and despairing. I have no words. No lullaby. no faerie wand to waft away your muted pain, catch each dew drop tear that slides unbidden, brushed aside so quickly from your mourning face. Fragile little heart I cry unseen, with you, my child deep in my heart and pray perhaps one day you will feel safe enough to take my finger see my hand is empty of the hurtful instruments that cut or burn or whip you into cruel submission Perhaps you will feel in just my finger there is LOVE and HOPE that there is a touch that does not hurt. ***************** 3/15/09 Gossoftly Retired Therapist Permission for copies is required | LOVE THE CHILD | YOU DO NOT KNOW ME | Contemplating Suicide | ON THE COUCH | Can you sit and do NOTHING ? | LOSS ( a friend) | The Emperor and Silence is a Vote | Two Poems | I MISS You,Friend | The Other Side | WHAT WILL THE ANSWER BE ? | One Small Tear | I Wish | | THE HEALING PROCESS | DISSOCIATIVE IDENTITY DISORDER | POETRY | Biographical Entries | |
