 SPIRIT OF MY HEART
I will water Kindness in my heart so it can grow and leave no space for Unkindness to take root. I will sow Love in every life that touches mine, allowing it to spread through every part of me suffocating Selfishness. I will be Gentle to not extinguish fading strength in someone else's struggle, nor trample on their Hope. I will sing a Song to all men's hearts that brings them into oneness, not imposing judgments that divide. A Song of Harmony and Peace where all are honored in the life they live no matter if we disagree in view. I will seek the Good in Man and praise him, not in flattery but with the joy of sharing in his talents and his gifts. I will be grateful and offer Gratitude and Thanks to those who bring me richness with their presence and their friendships. I will walk beside my fellow travelers if they wish it and we will not part because the storm is fierce, the sun beats hot, the wind would howl, or cold come numbing to the bone. This is true companionship. I will be loyal and stay unchanging through the years - my heart has always been this way. I will find meaning in the little things most people miss, learning the lessons that bring Wisdom. I will enrich my heart with Wisdom. Be taught by Mother Earth in how to keep the balance that is found in Nature. I will keep alive my inner Child and hold the joy of playfulness and spontaneity. I will respect the beliefs and values of others though I may not understand or agree with them, yet keep true to all the simple truths by which I live. I will not be daunted by the ones who scoff or see my simple creed as foolishness. Eternity will tell us where the foolishness has lain. I will own I can be as wrong or as right as the other person and look for mutual ownership if such is in their heart to do so. I will listen to my Intuition and the Guide who seeks to keep my steps within the safest paths away from Man's manipulations and deceit. I will accept all peoples without a tolerating attitiude that imples I am 'better than', for if we are equal there is no need for tolerance.
