 Whose to say what will flow next from streams of consciousness? It is the surfacing of liberated concepts that brings together disconnected thought. - Goessoftly As mentioned on the Home Page, too much morbidity is bad for a balanced life and so in this section I would like to post some entries that were/are part of my own healing process in climbing out of the pit of Abuse. There is no order for the entries, nor chronology of what has sustained my spirit to live, love and enjoy so many riches offered without obligation to give anything in return. The abuse survivor's ability to see the positive is in exact correlation to the severity, kind, and length of trauma sustained. Sometimes is takes us years to perhaps even recognize when the potentially GOOD and healthy gifts are within our reach. Rather like the monkeys, who, when they tried to jump out of the cage they were imprisoned in, would time after time hit their heads against the unyielding bars above them. Each attempt was not only futile but painful. When at last the top of the cage was lifted off, they were so conditioned to failure and the fear of pain they simply made no attempt to escape their prison. Freedom was at the doorstop but ignored. Indeed, it was feared and retreated from. There is much gratitude in my heart for the taste of freedom, of love, and the recognition of Beauty BEYOND the bars. It would be my sincere hope for any visiting this website who may feel depressed and helpless to have a glimpse of HOPE. To look closely and see if, in fact, the bars are really still in place. Or if there are new places to go that ARE safe, for indeed there are. I say this as one who once believed that safety, love and hurt-free experiences were words only. Having known them as a reality I can now share a few that I hope will illustrate the healing changes in my story.
